Midea asked Zaiye to help re-design a brand new unique control system for the combi-oven series to increase brand recognition and improve operation experience.
Before the intelligentialization of appliances, users get used to controlling it by mechanical buttons, and agree to the intuitivition. It comes to the design challenge - how to convergent the digital screen and mechanism?
To differentiate from competitors using the card menu on the home page, we subversively set the cook settings as home page. The simple layout shows temperature and timer, which are the most high-frequency features.
New design is very easy to use because it inherits the advantage of accurate adjustment from the mechanical dial, while presenting the information feedback visually on the screen.
Dual modes present the working status: Light mode for stand-by mode, which is more pure and readable; Dark mode for working mode, which is more sophisticated with background animation.
