When SAIC wanted to develop an entertaining conceptual sports car, it turned to the experts at Zaiye to conduct user research and create the new design methodology for the design process and workshop.Both of us believe that driving should be immersive and delightful, which leads the direction of this project.
We structured the research into 3 parts, taking into account user needs for holistc gamificated UX: professional racing training, racing coach and racer interview and experiencing racing competition immersively. Together, it was synthesized into a research report and contributed to the final conception.
We developed "Ideation Cards" for workshop, including 5 types: character, scenario, equipment, inspiration and user. Together with Affinity Diagram, the new ideation process unleashes the full range of creative potential on the teams.
